Ce service est une initiative à but non- lucratif de Search for Common Ground, organisation internationale non gouvernementale (ONG) établie à Washington et à Bruxelles, dont la mission est de transformer la façon dont le monde traite la problématique du conflit – c’est-à-dire en passant du mode de la confrontation à celui de la concertation.

Dans cette vidéo, l’organisation N-Peace Network souligne le travail de l’Indonésienne, Elektronita («Eton») Duan, militante de la paix et lauréate du prix N-Peace de cette année – qui récompense les femmes qui ont joué un rôle de premier plan dans la gestion d’un conflit. Cette militante a été récompensée pour ses efforts qui ont permis à sa communauté, à Maluku, en Indonésie, de se développer sur le plan économique et de devenir plus autonome. The dramatic children’s tv series, Kilna Bil Hayy, follows the adventures of six children from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds who are accidental neighbours in an apartment building with a conscience – personified by a wise « woman » named Lina. Though their parents can’t hear Lina’s sage advice, she inspires the children to break free of their prejudices so they can become friends.
Created by Search for Common Ground the series airs Saturday 5:15pm Lebanon time on LBC beginning 23 May 2009.

Launched by the UN Secretary-General in 2005, and co-sponsored by the governments of Spain and Turkey, today the Alliance is a thriving societal coalition of over 100 governments and international organizations, leading businesses, academic and research centers, civil society organizations, and faith groups, dedicated to building a more peaceful and tolerant world through working to implement concrete, on the ground initiatives and policies on youth, education, media and migration issues, which make a difference in communities.
